Walking into PureMD in Liberty Township, first off, it was difficult to find. For those people who plan on going there, the MedSpa is located in Liberty Township mall, upstairs down a hallway near build-a-bear workshop. I had to call the MedSpa to get this information so I was originally frustrated walking into the store.

Despite the problems finding the spa, I was excited about getting my lips done and the front desk girl greeted me with a friendly smile and had me fill out my New Patient paperwork. After filling out the paperwork, I was sitting for a bit and the front desk girl came out and let me know that the technician was running a little behind. I appreciate this because I don’t like just sitting there without recognition that they’re running late.

The MedSpa was clean and warm, with dark wood furnishings and products they have for sale. They have a lot of pamphlets with all the information that you could want on whatever you’re getting done. The spa accepts all forms of cards and even offers financing through care credit; Me? I’m a cheap ass and got a Groupon for my procedure.

The technician Nikki Walker came out and introduced herself and walked me back to the room, which was perfectly clean and sanitized. She spoke to me about my prior experience with lip fillers and what I should expect. Nikki took some before pictures and then gave me an ice pack to put on my lips to help numb them for the injections and explained that the Juvederm Ultra that I was having put in does have lidocaine in it so I wouldn’t be in pain for the procedure.

I showed her some pictures of what I wanted from Pinterest and then we went ahead and got started. Nikki put on gloves and opened the syringe in front of me, and then injecting the lip filler. Nikki started by making my lips fully numb using the Juvederm, and then began to shape. She sat me up a couple of times to take a look, and after my perfectionism the poor girl had to endure, my lips were complete in about 20-30mins.

After the procedure, Nikki walked me up to the front desk and found my Groupon Coupon and wished me a good day. Overall the experience was a good one, and I’m enjoying the results so far. I’ll be excited to see the final results in 2 weeks when all the swelling goes down.
